HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO BUILD A KONA HOME?
Projects start in order of completed contracts. Once we've received a signed contract, we place you in the next available build slot. On average, we built around 10 - 12 houses every year. Builds starting in the spring and summer usually take 5-6 months, builds starting in the fall and winter usually take 6 - 7 months to build. These times can vary depending on weather.
How does pricing work?
We offer fixed pricing on our homes. Each plan has it's own base price, and any cost for upgrades or customizations get added to that price. Newly built homes require GST, but to not require Property Transfer Tax (PTT). Our base pricing for homes on crawl, with an unfinished basement and finished basement include GST, the completed home (as specified), one set of appliances (client specific), land, fence, driveway, sod lawn and landscaping (tree in front yard). Base pricing for homes with basement suites additionally include split services, an additional set of appliances for the basement suite, and a 200-amp upgrade. For more information about the build specifications for each house plan, see "Build Specifications" towards the bottom of the page for all of our house plans, or click the button below.
CAN I MAKE CHANGES TO MY NEW HOME AFTER THE BUILD STARTS?
Building a new home requires a lot of preparation, which is why we do our best to plan out the entire project in the early stages. However, we understand that decisions can change, especially as the build starts to come to life! All of the customizations we offer have a set "Decision Date", which shows the stage that the customization can be changed. After that stage is complete, changes cannot be made.
